In Nakanoshima and its neighborhood a variety of cultural institutions, including museums and libraries, and historical buildings can be found, as well as parks and promenades running along the river. These sites can be reached on foot, by the Keihan Nakanoshima Line, Osaka Subway line, or JR Tozai line from the Museum. Some of the buildings require advance booking for visiting the interior, and some are not open to the general public (only the exterior of the building can be viewed).
