Chinese ceramics of the Song dynasty experienced a profusion of diversity throughout the country, from the renowned Ru and Guan wares to celadon of the Yue, Longquan and Yaozhou kilns, white porcelain of the Ding kiln, qingbai porcelain of the Jingdezhen kiln and black-glazed tenmoku wares of the Jian and Jizhou kilns. This exhibition approaches to the quintessence of the beauty of Song ceramics by showing the masterpieces from the Ataka Collection housed in our museum as well as two privately owned works specially being displayed on this occasion.
